Franz Marc

(1880-1916)

Marc‘s paintings are very appealing to most audiences – they explore the vision of a unified world in which the animals and the rest of the nature exist in perfect harmony. His colors are bright and his paintings have an optimistic feeling to them. He especially loved horses and most of his paintings depict them in strong colors. From 1912 his work became more abstract. He fought in First World War where he was killed in battle.
