A scientist, inventor, philosopher, painter, architect and sculptor, Leonardo da Vinci painted probably the most famous and most reproduced painting of all time. However, he completed a remarkably small amount of paintings during his lifetime. What made da Vinci so great was his insatiable curiosity – he always wanted to know how everything operates and what’s inside of everything. His small amount of paintings are multilayered, they explore beauty, ugliness, spirituality, man’s relationship with god and nature. “Mona Lisa” was sensational at the time and it still amazes and fascinates many people today.
